New Wilderness Safaris luxury lodge coming to Rwanda reserve

|

Wilderness Safaris has revealed its plans for an intimate new luxury lodge in Rwanda. Expected to open in September in the exclusive Bisate Reserve, the lodge will feature just four villas and according to Wilderness Safaris will continue the company's commitment to high-end conservation tourism in the region.

Located on the edge of an ancient volcano, the lodge will boast views of the surrounding volcanoes in nearby Volcanoes National Park. The site of the lodge was transformed from farmland into a thriving forest through the planting of nearly 100,000 trees, and guests can get involved in reforestation initiatives and visits to local community projects.

"Since Bisate first opened in 2017, it has been extremely rewarding to work closely with the Rwanda Development Board and our other partners to grow our positive impact in Rwanda," said Rob Baas, Wilderness Rwanda managing director. "Bisate continues to receive local and international acclaim, and we are extremely proud to announce our expansion plans and to embark on the build of Bisate Reserve, which will elevate our guest experience to even greater heights."

Signature experiences include expert-guided gorilla treks, nature trails through the private reserve, and birdwatching excursions. The four villas blend local design traditions with modern luxury.
