Luxury vacation home rental company Pure Kauai has more than 30 private homes and estates available for rent on the north shore of Kauai, and it offers travel advisors 10 percent commission.
Founded in 2001 by Phil Jones, Pure Kauai offers exclusive vacation homes from Kilauea to Hanalei. They range from three to six bedrooms, and some can accommodate up to 14 guests.

"I would say 90% of our clients are families, you know, they're coming with a family, and the reason they like our service is because they want privacy. They don't want to be with 100 other people," Jones said.
Hale Ae Kai, one of the Pure Kauai properties, is a gated 15-acre estate with a private trail down to Kauapea Beach (aka Secret Beach). It has four pavilions connected by breezeways, a private pool, gym and ocean views.
Another, the Red House in Hanalei, is beachfront of the bay and features five bedrooms, including a private guesthouse. Rental prices for Pure Kauai's homes range widely from $500 to $24,000 a night.
Pure Kauai provides comprehensive service and dedicated concierge for the entire vacation, before guests arrive and after they leave.
"Something that's really cool about Pure Kauai over other companies, when you call our line, you talk to somebody on the north shore of Kauai, and it's Phil Jones, the person who formed this collection of homes years ago," said Aaron Martin, manager at Pure Kauai. "Once you find the perfect home, our highly specialized concierge team curates the vision."

Martin said that as long as the guests' requests are pono (ethically responsible) then their team can put together any vision. Pure Kauai also has developed strong local partnerships through the years and encourages travelers to learn about the place they're visiting and giving back through philanthropy and voluntourism.
Pure Kauai's concierge service
On arrival, guests receive a welcome package full of products from local companies and artists. The concierge also produces a digital itinerary for guests with other recommendations and includes ocean safety information and a philanthropist guide to making a difference on Kauai.
"The concierge service, it's a concept to completion curation process, where our concierges are essentially project managers," Martin said. "We have built this network of literally hundreds of providers that we've worked closely with off and on for 20 years, and so ... if it's possible on Kauai, and it's pono, we can do it."
Jones said he has worked with thousands of travel agents across the country and values those relationships. "The reason that travel advisors like working with us so much is we make them look good," he said. "We're a one-stop shop. So basically, anything that they need, not just at the house, but we can get them a rental car, we can get them chefs, all those things."
