Enabling Cookies
Having cookies enabled in your browser is necessary for us to track your purchases on our site. There are many popular web browsers in use today, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. Check the "Help" section of your browser for detailed instructions on enabling cookies.
Security Settings
Your browser security settings have a major effect on Hoopla's performance. Please take note of some known issues below.
Issue 1: Browser freezing or white screen when clicking merchant links.
When clicking the merchant links featured on our site, we direct you to the web site of the merchant to make your purchase. If you experience a delay or freezing of your browser after clicking these links, this is due to the level of security set in your browser. If the level of security is set too high, your browser will not let us direct you to the merchant's site.
Issue 2: No access to companies or categories after logging in.
After logging in, you will see your user home page. You should also see categories to the left, and an alphabet across the top of your screen. This is where you find our merchants. If you DO NOT see these, this is due to the level of security set in your browser. If the level of security is set too high, this will cause this to happen, as your browser is not letting us build the categories and alphabet directory.
Here's how to fix these issues:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools and select Internet Options.
- Click the Security tab.
- Select the zone you want to change the security level for (Usually "Internet").
- If your slider is up to the max setting, lower the it down to a lower setting, such as medium.
- Click OK.
- If the problem persists, lower the security another level.
