Delta and United have issued waivers for travel to or from Tokyo Haneda Airport in the aftermath of a Tuesday evening runway crash

The crash, in which a Japan Airlines (JAL) Airbus A350-900 collided with a Japanese Coast Guard aircraft, left five crew members on the Coast Guard plane dead. All 379 passengers and crew on the JAL flight survived.

Haneda Airport was closed in the immediate aftermath of the crash, but has since resumed partial operations. Thus far, 155 departing flights have been canceled at Haneda for Wednesday, amounting to 21% of the day's schedule, according to FlightAware.

Under their waivers, Delta and United will allow customers scheduled to fly in or out of Haneda through Thursday to rebook without a fare difference. Rebooked travel must begin by Jan. 7 on Delta and by Jan. 9 on United.
